It's a pleasant enough image, though I can't help pondering the positioning of your lighting in the context of how your subject id posed. The hard shadow fall on the shoulder and beneath the collars. It's an honest image, I'd be interested in seeing the same subject looking into or at the vicinity of the lens and the shoulders back more than they are. The body language aspect of the pose alludes towards empathy required on this viewers part. Obviously you are in control of most of what appears in your shot and if the above conveys what you were after that's cool.

I was trying to gain empathy for him (as he was bored and wanted to go back to his book) he was moving about and fidgeting quite a lot. Lighting was one studio light shot through the umbrella at around 45 degrees and above camera right
