My first attempt at posting

Hi all
I hope this has worked. It has taken me a while to get round to posting.

Taken in less than ideal conditions but my first outing with my latest purchase 400mm f2.8.

So frustrated with the weather and work that I have not been able to get out more.

Any comments more than welcome.

Gosh, this isn't bad at all. I've never taken anything in flight, and am only a beginner, and from this shot I feel you've done very well, first post or not.

It is a fantastic lens optically but boy is it heavy. It weighs about 6kg and you certainly know you have got it. I use it with either a monopod or on a tripod both mounted with the Manfrotto 393 long lens head. (cheaper than the Wimberley or Kirk). I am just waiting for some decent weather to give it a good thrashing.
