My first attempt at Solar photography

Had to stitch two images together, which means there's a join, but I'm happy.

You've got some great detail there, especially round the spot at bottom left. Was this through a lens or a telescope?

Thanks. It was a Canon 450D connected to a Skywatcher 130P Telescope. Got myself a Solar filter yesterday.

Very good for a first attempt. You need to revisit at regular intervals and watch the sunspots change and evolve with time.

very good, a friend was telling me that there are quite a few spots at the moment, was going to have a go today hopefully

Sorry for having to delete a message and image, but I did not do the photo properly.

My sun today a few minutes ago, improved I think by sharpening in Gimp

Have not altered colour from Auto C/B

Almost as good as Cloggys
