Hi Ben, interesting picture but it just doesn't work for me, can't put my finger on it but just looks wrong :shrug:

I think personally that there is too much of the cat missing and there is a glint/little circle around the person's eye that i personally find a bit off putting.

EDIT: Just noticed you said eyes closed would have been better, i would agree.

Take another, but fill the frame with the cat or whatever you're trying to capture.

I'd personally think you'd need the whole of the cats head in the picture there for it to work?

And also as someone else said your eye tends to go the white circle from the persons eye rather than to the cat

It doesn't really work for me, there is a bit too much of you in the pic and not a lot of the cat, not sure if that was the general idea?

Here is another one I took at the time. It has more cat and less girl (not me Kat, I'm a boy ). I had no intention with the pictures, I was playing around with DoF whilst reading a tutorial and doing what it said The annoying bright glare has gone too.

I think that this is a better photo even though it may not 'work' as a picture.
