My first go at smoke art

Hey they look ace - I think I might have a go, off to read up on technique. Appreciate it if you would share how you took these!

no worries:

i hung a black jumper over my pc monitor, had my flash set up to the side and tried to only light up the smoke and not the background too much. put an insense stick in a big blob of blu tack. i had the room quite dark so i had to focus with the light on, set it to manual focus so it didnt move again and i basically took absolutely loads of pictures without looking through the lens but keeping in mind the focusing distance and hoped i'd get a few good shots

i did it ghetto style as most of photography tends to be!

This are really cracking (y) though a couple of them are a little on the soft side but that said really nice for a first attempt (y) something that I'm aiming to try soon :D

really nice! i love how simple and powerful it looks at the same time! would be nice to see a still item in the mix of it tho
