My first Hover in flight

Took the tips on board and had a go today, only managed to get one, must learn to move the camera slower and smoother, they hate having their pic taken when in flight.

also this caught my eye as I was trying my luck at getting a hover to stay still

I like this, I have taken hovers just sitting there on flowers but never tried whilst in flight. Done dragonflies, gotta give these hovers a go. Any tips? Speed etc, lens?

Hi chris I was using my canon 100mm macro lens, with a flash fitted, iso 100 f16 I think and 1/200. I used some tips simon gave me, hovers are territorial so find one watch it and follow with the camera and hope for the best is what I did.
