Yes
My first real attempt using macro filter ring thingies.
Am really struggling with the, Dof and well, generally all aspects of Macro.
All hand-held.. haven't tried with a tripod yet.

C&C welcome..

They're not too bad Trev...heading in the right direction.

Try stopping down a little further to f/16 to help with your DOF worries....the alternative is to squash the bug before taking the shot.

Cheers bob.. Im now stuck as to what to do on the lens situation..
Extension tubes.. or spend out on a dedicated Macro lens without going over £150

I think a tripod will sort out alot of the DoF probs as handheld im trying to keep it steady but seem to rock backwards and forwards like an old granny, then fire at hopeffully the right point.

Not too shabby at all Trev, I wouldn't bother with a tripod as you will find it useless for insects. Keep at the rocking as it's the best way. I like #1 best out of these 2. (y)

A steady rock
Nice ones (y)

Not bad shots at all, instead of a tripod try resting your arm on something, if its not too low you can sit resting your arm on your knee, sounds weird but I think you get my drift it's much more flexible than a tripod.
