My first kingfisher of 2009.

These are large crops of my first KF this year.

They were taken at Jasons pool, Lackford Lakes.

Using the 50D and 10-400L

Overcast at the time, I'll go back tomorrow and hope for better light.

High praise indeed, but they do lack a lot of detail due to the distance and the poor light.

I just realised all the ones I took last year were with the Siggy 50-500, so this is also a first for the 100-400L

Ta Phil Well these were taken at the double decker hide, and as you know the perches are some distance. With my skills that requires good light, and on that day I did'nt get it.
I'm more than happy with the 10-400L thanks

I have been taking lots of photos but hav'nt got round to processing them yet.
