Got my 50d yesterday so just took some pictures this morning, and would like to see what you guys think.

I prefer #1 but #2 is a nice shot too nonetheless..I think #1 could do with better lighting so that the colours could be brighter..just my tuppence worth

I'm going to say the opposite. I prefer the second, like the texture and frame fill. First one is too dark for me to really like it. Focus is good mind, just needs lifting with better lighting.
