Hi
Thought i would put some pictures up, taken with my 70-300mm DG APO that landed on my Doorstep this morning.
Please bare in mind that im quite an inexperienced photographer and i have NEVER handled a lens like this. I found it VERY enjoyable, finally being able to get some shots that would have passed me by with the 18-55mm Kit lens.
None are amazing to be honest, but with practice this lens could be a killer i think.
The 2 Macro shots were taken from about 3-5feet away.
Any critique/pointers is always appreciated and taken on board.
If you go back to the root of the gallery one or two of the shots are underexposure city, so ignore heheh
Focus is a little out on the Beak in this one i think, might have to sharpen that up a little in CS2.
This one was taken in afternoon light. It didnt seem so underexposed until i did a "save for web" from CS2. Guess i need to work on that a little too
Posting rest as hyperlinks so people dont have to download them all.

There was just way too much glare behind this one, couldnt get it right. Tried Exposure tool from RAW in RSE but it never seems to look right.

Pictures aside, i had a great time out there today. Nice and sunny, peaceful and lots of wildlife
(EDIT: I will also be posting this at OCUK forums as i go there too, so if you see it twice, you know why )
