My latest collisions

Had another play about earlier Water with rinse aid, lit from behind with gelled 550ex's.

Comments and critique appreciated!

In my eyes these are perfect I love the colours, lighting, focus etc all are spot on and then to have the reflection also is great

Ash uses roughly the same set up as me. The only real difference is that he is manually doing the drops wheras I am now using a CameraAxe. My settings are 50D with 100mm f2.8 @1sec f22 iso200 2x 550ex at 1/16 gelled and behind the drops.

have you got a photo of your set up ?

i ask because i`m finding it realy hard to get the colours to show on the water,mine just come out realy light,what do you use inbetween your flash and the water to defuse the light ?

Sorry mate no set up shot, I'll try to remember next time. If you look at the tutorial link in post #8 my set up is almost the same as the third image. The only real difference is that I am using a sheet of velum paper in a cardboard mount in place of the plastic box as a diffuser. You need to angle the diffuser slightly over the water too.
