Hi Hannah... lovely cat indeed.

I dont know how the Canon G9 works but it seems to have focused on the room behind. Animal hair is notoriously difficult to lock a focus on... so i presume the autofocus missed out there. If you have a choice of manual focus.. try that.

its on my customised setting.. though i still don't really fully understand my new camera.. and reading the manual on the comp is quite a challange, so Alison is helping me along the way..

We have four cats and they are difficult to capture, focus issue with first two in the first set as Janice says, second set are better.

Those first two with the mobile phone are great, throw that g9 away
srsly tho, maybe the g9 cant focus as close as your phone.
I really dont know how anyone can say that those two photos aren't beaut just because they're taken with a mobile phone, I've seen much much worse shot with "proper" camera, whatever proper means..
