My new blogsite ( well just blog right now )

Is that one of Blu's templates ?

Instead of replacing it cmpletely, do a splash page and link to the blog from it, the site is nice and shows off your best work/portfolio where it generates your income. The blog can be more fun and varied without diluting your work.
 
The main website is a blu template yes. There will be a link off the site to the blog while the blogsite is developed more. I'm having the link rather than a splash page as I generally hate those. While the template is good, it's very inflexible :(

Obviously the blog is just a blog right now, so it doesn't give a proper representation of what I'm going to be doing I guess.

I know what you mean by the limitation of the template as its fixed to a point but I think of it as a portfolio online, the Blog is where you can really show off your latest projects, more background material IMO.
 
Very true, and I think it's important to do both, show your portfolio and your latest work to ensure everyone sees the consistency of your work. Although in my case it's not that consistent as I'm ( well I feel I am ) constantly improving at a high rate at the minute.
 
You know what though, posting this did make me realise something... I'd not blogged the last wedding :lol:
 
After a few comments I've changed the background to something that I think looks a bit nicer. The slice I'd taken from my website wasn't working too well. :)
