Plus batteries, cards and cleaning bits and bobs.

Batteries currently charging.

Now to get well enough to go outside and use it:D

Shall have to see if it works with my Tamron 500mm Mirror lens as well.

Fanaststic, Don't you just love all those boxes.

Great present to yourself.

Mine to me was at Stanstead at 4.20am today but not here yet

Thanks guys will post some pics ASAP.

Now to choose a new bacpack and sort out a flash.

Oh and more batteries more storage, new filters and on and on..

What to do with my trusty and still working old film stuff(all Nikon as well)?

Did you buy yourself a jumbo jet? ... :D

Now don't be silly.

Many people think I'm tight, I'm not really but I only buy what I need. Now as I only have half a dozen close friends a 450 seater would be way over the top. So the 9 seat Bombardier Learjet 45 XR is plenty big enough. ;)

Makes me want to buy something!!!
Hope you enjoy all of your new toys. The 70-300mm vr is a cracking lens for the money.

The missus says I'm still not well enough to go out yet.... bah.

will have to carry on learning settings etc

I didn't get a big pressy for Christmas as I still can't decide what to buy !

Congrats- I'm quietly confident the Tamron 500mm reflex lens will work okay with the D300 in appeture priority mode. Nikon have sorted out the metering so that older/manual lenses expose okay. Let us know what happens?

The photo below (view from Alderney across more than 8 miles of sea to France) was taken with a 1980's Centon 500mm F8 mirror lens on a Nikon D200 (Fuji S5 Pro) body. As you can see it exposed okay with no manual intervention!
