Looking at your site briefly it seems that you're aiming this at the commercial market as you're offering prints for sale along with other photographic services. So I'm going to treat this as a professional website and comment accordingly.
Homepage:
Initial thoughts on viewing the homepage is that everything is oddly sized and spaced. There's a huge gap between the top of the page and your banner - which incidentally is far too big and cuts the 'Y' off - and I'm not massively keen on having to scroll down the page to see what's there.
I'd much rather have everything tidied up so it looks neater. If the banner was smaller and the gap between that and the top of the page reduced it would free up a lot of space. I also think that at least half of the text on your homepage could easily be removed and put to better use elsewhere. Most of the stuff you've written about yourself should be put on an 'About' page and I'd strongly recommend getting rid of the section about you being a 'self-taught amateur' and 'constantly learning' as it hardly inspires confidence.
I'd also consider moving the section about 'looking to sell your car or motorcycle' to a 'services' page where you can explain yourself a bit better. And you need to capitalise the 'O' of 'or would you like some good photographs' and possibly look at rewording that sentence as it's not right proper grammar and lets the professional aspect of your site slip.
And I appreciate that you designed your own website, but linking to that homepage doesn't really do you any favours in terms of maintaining a professional appearance.
Portfolio:
Now we've got the banner moved to the top of the page and it looks much better. Needs to be slightly smaller though and a bit more in-keeping with the sites design.
I'm not massively keen on the text you've chosen to use here and it could do with rewording to give it a bit more punch and professionalism. I'd also like the links to the galleries themselves to be spaced out a bit better and be on the same line. I do like the fact that both the image and the text links to the page in question and overall it seems to work well.
As for the portfolios themselves, I'm not sure what's happened with the Architecture one as it seems to freeze. I can't use my scroll-wheel to move the page up or down and there seems to be only one image to view.
Automotive has the same problem with the scrolling but this time instead of not moving it spins me through the pictures. I've now got to manually scroll the page down to see the images, something I'm not particular enamoured with. Same goes for the 'Night Shots' and 'Scenery' pages.
With all the portfolios I do like the fact you've given the visitor some way of returning to the Portfolio page without having to click on the main header links and I do like the content, but not the way it's presented. What I also don't like is the fact that you have chosen to tell me that 'I have not edited them much' as it sounds completely unprofessional. I really don't need to know that.
Gallery:
Now we've got the banner back to how it looks on the homepage. It really needs to stay in the same place across all the pages so you get a feeling of continuity across the whole site.
As with the 'Portfolio' page I'm not keen on the wording you've used; there's too much repetition and it doesn't read very well. I'm also not really keen on the two galleries for two different cameras. Without wishing to sound rude; who cares? Let's just see your best work, irrespective of what camera it came from.
As for the contents of the two galleries, I'm afraid there's just far too much. Take the 350D gallery as an example. There's too many subdivisions within the gallery, some of them don't even work and just take me to a white page and some just have so few photos you might as well have combined sections. And on occasion your 'Canon EOS 350D' link takes me to a 404 page.
If this stuff is as good as I think it is, why not combine the very best into your Portfolio? I'm like a kid in a sweetshop here - there's too much choice.
Blog:
I'm not really sure this has any place on a website where you are trying to sell your services as a photographer. It all seems very 'matey matey' and doesn't really engage the reader. I've just spent a few minutes looking through the entries and while some are interesting and useful, some I really couldn't care less about.
I'd turn this page into a 'News' page and keep everything professional and streamlined. If you must have a blog, create a separate blog and update that with all the stuff you want to. Keep whatever is on the site quite low-key and relevant to potential customers. Avoid using words like 'mate' or sentences like 'the photographs I took are not that great' as it just ruins the professionalism you are trying to achieve.
Equipment:
If you must keep this then it's fine as it is. But what purpose does it serve other than to excite other photographers and show off a little? Would a potential customer A) know anything about this sort of thing or B) care? I'd rather this page was replaced by an 'About' page telling me who you are and why I should spend my money on your amazing photography.
External Profiles:
This isn't really usable for me. Too cramped, too cluttered and too much scrolling around. Keep those pages separate from the site you've created and use them for personal purposes. All you're doing is adding extra content that diverts attention from the website itself.
Shop:
I don't like the way this page looks, I don't like the way the shop page looks and I don't like it opening in a new window. The shop itself is very cluttered, quite hard to use and really lacks the professional sheen of the rest of the website you've created. Take the rather twee picture frames and the jagged watermark across the photos as an example of what I mean there.
PS. When I click on 'External Links' from the 'Shop' page it turns into 'Google Album'.
Links:
Why am I being given the option of leaving your website? Why are you showing me other photographers websites? It's just an invitation for me to leave and possibly not come back.
Contact:
Not keen on the wording used at the top as it doesn't quite gel properly. A quick reworking of that would solve the problem. I'd also really like to see a Contact Form built into this page so I don't have to open my own email. Business card is fine and a very good idea.
Overall:
I have to say that as much as I've complained about certain aspects of the site, I actually really like what you've done. At first glance it looks very professional and very well designed but as you look more closely the cracks start to appear.
The main issue for me is that you're not selling yourself well enough. The site has constant references to you 'learning' or things maybe not working out as you'd expected and that just ruins all the hard work you've put into making the site look as good as it has. Get rid of all the negative stuff and really sell yourself to your potential customers.
The other problem is one of too much choice. There's way too many photographs on the site for me to handle. Assuming I'm a potential customer visiting your site for the first time, where do I go? I could get lost for hours looking through all the pictures and I'm afraid that with so much choice I'd get bored and most likely end up going somewhere else. What I really want is to see a selection of your very best work presented in a way that's going to make me go "Wow".
From what I've seen here there's two websites combined into one. You've got your TRL Photography site which is trying to attract potential business and another site which is for your friends and family and for sharing your pictures. The two should be kept separate.
Take out all the best bits and streamline that into something that will allow your photography to sell itself. It's probably good enough - it just needs the website to match.
