I really, really like the look of your site and the easy navigation. You even have contact info on the home page! It would be useful to find out more quickly where you are based, I did have to hunt around a little for that info, so I would make that clearer and have some kind of 'call to action' on the homepage (or indeed every page encouraging people to DO soemthing eg buy a voucher/register some interest in you.
All looks very professional

Thanks very much for the feedback Anna. I like your thinking about the 'call to action' the only thing I would be worried about is it might cheapen the site, or people might think I'm trying to push the sale too much. But its something I'll definitely think about for the future.

Hi, love your site it's really nice the only thing I would possibly change is on the packages the basic package you refer to yourself as "me" then in the package after you talk about yourself as opposed to from yourself if that makes sense! Great site though

Looking good John, you have obviously spent lots of time getting the flow right.

Yea I've spent a good bit of time on the site trying to get it just right. There is still a bit of work to do but I'm nearly there.

Ah thanks Sarah, I'll have a look at that and change it.

All the advise on marketing we have had tells us push something to people, to encourage them to DO something.

There are 2 other threads on the front page of this section asking for reviews of their website - frankly, I would urge them to look at yours for starters!

The looks are nice and clean and looking at it on a mobile phone it is nice and lightweight this responding quickly. Haven't checked but wouldn't be surprised if it is Wordpress underpinned which is great as it give instant accessibility compliance proper mobile formatting decent menus and photo integration etc.

A few observations though.

On the About pages it is about 5/6 about you written in I form. And then all of a sudden at the bottom of the page it says 'What we do". There is no team in I ;) and that links in with the second point.

To me there is no contact info worthy of mentioning. For me this comes across as a bloke with a mobile phone. It doesn't say it to me that this is a business, it doesn't provide and address, not a landline some of the key indicator that this is a business. As in my head I draw parallels with a travelling builder with no signage on his van and just a mobile. Here one day gone the next.

Just a thought.

I like the look of the site, but you might want to get someone to spellcheck for you, eg on "pricing' page: "To help you start making decision, we give you an examples of packages below"

I like it a lot, but that might be something to do with my site, which I developing at the moment, looks very, very similar. ;)

One point. You have a section for wedding pricing but don't appear to have any wedding pictures in your portfolio.

Looks nice and easy to navigate!

On this page - http://www.jmaxphotography.com/Safetytips.html - sence should be spelled sense.

Thanks very much, and spelling corrected.

Yes I know what you mean about pushing the sale but in my opinion if their already on my website then their already thinking about buying and it should be the quality of the photos which pushes the sale through.

Looks nice mate, on the page above I would tone down the red, to me it makes the grey text below hard to read

Noted and done.

I love sites like these - clear, crisp, easy to find info and thoughtfully laid out. Very nice indeed!

Thank you very much, glad you like the site.

Its not wordpress underpinned although I had thought about going down the wordpress route. Its just plain html.

I've corrected the we and I problems, well as many of them as I've seen so far, but I need to go through the rest of the site and route them out as I find them.

As for the contact info unfortunately I'm not based in a studio and work from home so I don't really want to be posting my home address up. Its not that I have anything to hide its just I keep work and home life as separate as I can so I can get a break from the photography when I need too. So for the time being until I manage to get myself a studio that's the way it'll have to stay, which may hurt business a bit.

Spelling check and adjusted, thanks for pointing it out.

Yea I'm just moving across into the wedding photography and haven't had a chance to get enough content to add a wedding section to the gallery but as the work increases a wedding section will be added. Thanks very much for the feedback.

Surely these should be in this forum and not business?
