My wife in the flesh

Nice work but I cannot see myself taking that first shot.
I have shot these a couple of times but more often than not took a swipe at them when they have landed on me.
 
So, this was on your wife ?
Very interesting flies and the colouring of the eyes are amazing.
 
Thanks all. Great eye subjects these and tend to stay still long enough for you to change yer lens, clean it and make sure the batteries are charged for the flash and then pass the tissues to her indoors to wipe away the tears.....and finally take the shot :)

@Graham. When we were in the S of France one landed on her the size of a blackbird, i shouted " Stand Still" she replies "Not F%$$ ^%^%$ Likely " Such a wuss ...
