A great time was had by all. Hoping to somehow get a media pass next year so I can get some better shots, but I had to make do with standing behind the railings this year. Pendulum and Does It Offend You, Yeah? played live music on the friday, with The Subways and Less Than Jake playing on the saturday. Friendly atmosphere, and some absolutely sickening tricks being pulled off. Here are some of my favourites from the weekend:

All shots taken with my 350d and 24-60.
Its made me realise how much I need a 40d, because the ISO handling on the 350d is poor, and when cropping the resolution was dire. The 24-70 held up fine, but because of how far away I was, I wanted to get in closer, its just my 70-300 isn't exactly the sharpest glass ever, and I wanted to use the 10-20, but I was too far away and the guys would have been a tiny dot in the frame.
Didn't get any shots in the park, despite the HUGE tricks in there, as the light was too bad.
So, next year's list: Media pass, 40d, off camera flash, perhaps a fisheye!

C+C welcome.

Great shots there (y)
All clear and sharp, only last pic lacking a bit of lightness, but its cloudy and the image is still sharp.
The 40d with 6fps is ideal for this type of sport.

No 2 and 3 my favs.

All the processing done to these is sharpening and resizing. I got it perfect on most of them on the day, which I'm well chuffed about :D

But still, was stood there in the park watching the BMXing, and saw a guy with a 40d and a Canon EF 15mm fisheye with 2x 580ex mk2 and pocketwizards.
This guy stood by the ramp, and then fired off about 15 shots by the time the riders left the ramp and landed. It was spectacular.
I now definitely want a 40d :D

I'm so jelous of you right now, haha. I know from last year that its not the easiest place to take pictures at, you've done a good job. Really like the 3rd and 5th.

3rd and 5th are my favourites too :) have to admit, last one IS a bit dark.
I'll get round to brightening it up sometime :p

So, can anyone give me advice on how to get a media pass to NASS?
I want to start preparing myself for it next year.

I like 2 and 6 the best, you get the story of the trick, where they're going to and from...

I think to get a media pass you need to be covering the event for someone, my mate got one cos he was covering it for a local paper.
