ND filters for Canon 16-35 mkII

I'm looking to pick up a 16-35 for my trip to Bhutan next year and was hoping to combine this with a strong (6-10 stop) ND filter. Unfortunately the lens requires an 82mm filter unlike my 24-70 (which I'll also be taking)

Has anyone found a filter that isn't extortionate?
 
The only single filter that I have seen that will give a range of 2 to 8 stops is the Lightcraft fader so wont get you to 1o stops and I think it only goes to 77mm and that's £90 so you may have an impossible task. You can get a Heliopan 10 stop 88mm but it's about £100.
 
Sorry, I don't think I worded the original very well. I want a single filter which lies somewhere in the 6-10 stop range, not a vari filter like the singrays (which are even more expensive)

Do you know where sells the heliopan 10 stop, my google skills are failing badly looking for it for sale
