ND Filters

How much and how often would I benifit from them and which of my lenes would I best of buying it for I have a Nikon 18-55mm AF-S DX f3.5-5.6G VR and a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro. I mainly take pictures in the woods or near water and will taking pictures of cars on display at car shows in the summer. I will every now and again go and take some light traail pictures because I do think they look cool and will be taking some macro photographs in the woods or where ever I am if I see a nice flower or fungi.

Do you mean ND grads or straight ND's?

They are used for quite different things......

I mean the normal ones not the Graduated ones mate.

I would only get this if you plan to do long exposures in daylight, e.g. moving water, this lets you get the long exposure without over exposing your picture, kinda like sun glasses.

they dont come cheap £50-80 depending on size, if you do get one i would get the biggest to fit you lends then a step ring so you can use it on your other lenses
