ND Grad filter and holder

complete novice on this,so please advise on holders and filters to have a go on landscapes and waterscapes please.

What sort of effect are you looking for and what camera and lenses do you have?

Also what is your budget?

There are many different filters
E. G circular
Polariser
Square
ND grad
ND

Etc

You can also spend from say £10 to hundreds of pounds for one filter.

Square filters come in several different sizes E. G. 85mm, 100mm. The size you need will depend on your lenses.

You need to provide further details to enable people to provide a meaningful answer

sorry i didn't realise there were different sizes I thought the holder went infront and then you slid this square sheet in front .

Ok Canon 6D, 24-105 for starters.not sure what i will need,was going to just experiment.

I don't want real cheap but don't want to spend lots until I have tried a few to see what i like.
