ND Grad Filters

Best worrying about it back in blighty matey, won't be able to source decent enough filters (LEE) there - for now would just maybe bracket exposures and shoot in raw?

I can never get bracketing to work.
Time to do some reading.

Essentially you'll need an adaptor ring, a holder and the filters. I'd go for Lee but your local supply might be limited. Singh Ray are a comparable quality popular in the US. Someone like B&H in New York might be able to ship them to you.

Grads are absolutely essential in high contrast scenes like sunset / sunrise. Don't forget that Lightroom has grad filter simmulation, but treat it as add on or fine tuning rather than replacement.

You need 100mm size filters.

You may not find Lee, but there could be Hitech or Singh ray if you are lucky. In the worst case you could get some cheap chinese ones as long as they are large enough and hopefully you will be able to deal with consequences in post. Blown sky or severe underexposure is worse IMHO.

P.S. I'm pretty jealous for your trip :)
