nd grads

hi, i just bought a nd 8 filter,

hasnt stopped me down 8 stops?? its not even as dark as a pair of sunglasses, or isnt it meant to be? i like the look/effect of waterfalls etc when using a filter but dont think can achieve it with this filter...

how dark should the be?

An ND8 will only stop you down 3 stops not 8 .

just read up on it

its an nd8 not a nd grad 8, and correct, it only gives me 3 stops, just checked it...

oh b****r! i wanted something a bit stronger, but without spending the pennies it looks like im going to have to get a welding glass..

Got one of these on ebay a while back. Quality is good for the price with no colour cast problems.
