Tom that's a nice shot. Like the contrast between the green leaves and the bird.

Absolutely beautiful  I bet you're glad you didn't bin it now :)

What is it though? I can't say I've seen a delicate bird as yellow as that before?

Thank you Carol - afraid its not.

Cheers Dan - glad you like it.

Tom

no its not! I have looked at mine and yours has black legs, hmmm its got me puzzeled now

Is it a yellow wagtail?

Looks like something a bit rare but what? I'm glad you found that photo. Maybe a Warbler of some sort.

Closest I could find is a juvenile female Willow Warbler?

The great book says that they can be very yellow below and on stripe over the eye. But not much else matches.

Great shot either way.

Willow warblers have pale coloured legs, and in any case this one is far too yellow. I'd have said corn bunting but the beak is wrong.
Nice pic but the ID is a mystery to me.

Now YW has been suggested it does look like it, but I wonder what happened to its tail?

Cracking shot Tom in a lovely setting, some lovely colour and looks sharp. (y)
