Ok after help from my daughter (I'm useless) I can finally put up one of my pics. Any comments, hints and tips gratefully received

Hey, not sure if its slightly OOF or not because its quite fluffy lol

what were your settings?

I think it would have looked a bit better against a different colour BG

It's definately the fluffiness that makes it look OOF, now you have said it that's my excuse

I do seem to struggle to get things really sharp and I'm not sure why. I put it down to my dodgy eye (my focusing eye's pupil is permanently dilated due to injury) but it is more than likely operator error Agree about the background, do you think black would have been better?

Settings were 1/6s, f8.0 iso 200.

1/6 - 55mm lens - Tripod?
If not I think you did an amzing job hand holding that slow a shutter speed.

Would love to say no tripod but I'd be lying lens was Tamron 28-300m.
