Need a decent scanner - Flatbed

Anyone care to recommend one? around £50, friend is looking for one to scan in sketches and stuff.

I have a Epson v200 and I was more than happy with the results from slides and old photos. it might not be up there with the £200+ scanners but is very good value for money.

For "sketches & stuff", you would not go wrong with a HP 3in 1. They sell for well under £100.

Does anyone know if there are any small scanners ie not A4 size , something that would take up less space say 6" x 4" ?

You can get hand held scanners the size of a 2" paint brush, or even as small as a pen.

These are usually used for scanning documents (occasional use).

Yes thats what I thought , it was for scanning old photo"s I meant , mainly 6x4 , did have a flatbed years ago but didn"t want something that size again .
I"ll have a scan of the web then see what turns up.
