need a little help canon 50D

i have a canon 50D

firmware 1.09 with magic lantern on.

the problem i have is in manual mode the exposure compensation is at -2

i can't get it to 0 i have moved the iso and aperture but nothing seems to work what am i missing cheers for the help

I've never used custom firmware for my camera. But I have for other bits of kit. If I generally can't resolve the issue by google/help from forums, a re-install generally works.

Are you sure it's the exposure compensation? and not just under exposure. Unless magic lantern adds compensation to manual mode :shrug:

In manual mode you are choosing how your exposure is set and the camera cannot compensate when it doesn't know your goal.

But you are saying it never shifts from -2
If you set the widest aperture and a 30sec shutter is this still the case?

@barrysprout thanks it does indeed work when i move to 20 - 30 sec shutter i was trying to do low key shots and i never use manual normally .

I had a 50D nice camera but I think your mistaken with the exposure compensation with manual mode its not available, or at least I didn't think it was :shrug:

steve its was my mistake i don't normally shoot in manual i was trying and failing i will add to do low key shots i had my iso at 100, shutter at 250 and different apertures the exposure was at -2 and wouldn't move until barry said about 30sec exposure so now when i go to 20 - secs the exposure moves
