I currently have a 50 1.4 and that is it :(

Fantastic lens but sometimes its too short sometimes its too long!

Need something which will bring me down in the wide end for the times i need it and back into the 80mm end is for when i need that also.

Is it worth me just saving until i can buy a 28mm prime or shall i sell it up and look for a zoom something
 
A zoom is always versatile but from wide to 80mm you are looking at 2 zooms to cover that, unless you want a super zoom lens which will have poorer IQ than the 50mm 1.4
 
ok i am thinking - my kit bag should be

17-40L OR 28 1.8
50 1.4
100 2.8 macro OR 100 2.0

does that sound about right/good?
 
mine changes alot depending on the requirments i need.
I am very much becoming a prime shooter. but the zooms i have are for convenience.
at the moment just trading my 100mm Macro
 
i think atm as much as i want the macro i need the wide angle more for indoor work
