Hi Looking for some real world recommendations for a small bag to carry some kit when I don't need it all with me, prefer shoulder/messenger style than backpack for this one, as it is just for the times I head to the studio and don't need my full kit with me, and occasionally if out on location and don't need much, so what am I looking to carry, well, would need to hold a gripped 5DII preferably with 24-70L MKI attached, flash either a 580 EKII with external pack, or 430 EXII, memory cards etc. maybe an option to have the 70-200 2.8L MKI if needed but that is not an essential as such just a nice if poss. Budget wise, not looking to spend a fortune so up to and maybe slightly above (for the right one) £50.

Thanks in advance :)

Crumpled do various sizes of most of their bags. Pick the size you think best suits.

The thinktank bags i like but might be out your budget.

Think Tank do great messenger/shoulder bags, but your budget is a bit tight for them - you'd be looking at closer to 5-10% of the value of the listed gear rather than 1-2%.

Or get a more fashion orientated shoulder bag from TK Max and use a cheap Aldi bag as a padded liner.

Thanks, Will take a look.

Will have a look, not to worried if the budget has to grow for the right bag :)

One of the LowePro TopLoaders might fit it all in. My TL75 takes an ungripped D700 and 70-300 with length to spare but might be tight for a gripped body. Unpadded pocket on the outside for a flash and another couple of pockets for cards, batteries etc.. Loops on the sides for sliplock cases for extra lenses if needed. Mine came from Mifsuds second hand and was well under budget.
