Need a website

Another is clikpic costs £35 per year for 100 images and you can add a shopping cart facility. You will need to pay for a domain name if you don't have one but they cost around £6 per year.

Can I throw out a recommendation for Vidahost basic account starts at £17 a year, but most importantly they have excellent customer service support which I never got from hosting 3 or 4 times as expensive.

My suggestion would be to look at the sticky at the top of the forum, which has pretty much all the options listed.

My personal preference is Photoshelter though.

Not to put too fine a point on this, but please do a little (or a lot) of research before you leap into this, even if I'm too late here.

Firstly; why do you want a website?
If it's just to show off a personal portfolio, get an account on a photo sharing service.
If you're advertising your services, then you need to really spend some time deciding what you're selling and then how to sell it.

Please read the links from the sticky.

In my personal opinion Wix just says cheap and uncaring, if you're not using it to sell professional services it'll do. If you are trying to use it to sell your services, more work is needed.

Vidahost get my vote too, they've saved me so much money!

I'm not a professional, I do photography because i enjoy it, I do make a little from it and up to now have had good feedback for the website. If I were going to be making a living from it I would be prepared to invest more money, but as I can't afford to give up the day job this is just to test the water.

But thanks for your feedback
