Beginner Need a WordPress Theme

Hi all,

I would like to learn how to create a website using WordPress but cannot decide on which theme to use. I think it is best to find a free theme whilst I am learning. All I want to do is build a website to record my granddaughter growing up (mainly photo's. Also, maybe a blog. I plan to password protect the site so access is for family and friends only. Can anyone suggest a WordPress Theme which would be best suited?

If you just want a free theme for when you are learning then why not just use the build in ones? You can then change to a bespoke one when you are ready...

PS. I really like elegant themes for premium themes. And their Divi theme builder is just fantastic.
