Hello All,

I moved to UK recently and I live in southern part of England. Littlehampton (close to worthing). Looking for inspiration around this part of the country for landscape photography. Well, my interests would be lakes, streams, pier ( I tried Brighton recently), fields, wind mills, nature, forests, cathedrals, etc...

Any suggestions on places for good photo opportunity on the south coast and around are welcome.

Thanks in advance
Naveen

Hastings is close to you, very photogenic place!

Beach landing fishing craft and fishing huts can make for interesting shots. There's also another burnt out Pier, though this one remains more intact than the one in Brighton.
Few Ye Olde Worlde pubs dotted about, in the old town.

As for lakes - Bewl Water is close by, too.

Have a look at the 1:50,000 Ordnance Survey map for your area. They show all the details you've mentioned.

Alternatively have a look on Bing Maps -

http://www.bing.com/maps/?FORM=MMREDR

One of the options on the "ROAD" tab is for OS maps. You'll need to zoom in to get this option to work, but it has everything you would get on the paper map.

Also have a look at the Photographer's Ephemeris -

http://photoephemeris.com/

which is free for PCs and Macs.

It shows the time and direction of sun rise and set (and moon too) - very handy for landscape shots.
