Hi
I have only just bought my D5100 and it came with 18-55, 55-200 nikon lenses. After a trip out today I realise I need a longer lens to get close to some subjects (wildlife).
Any recommendations with a sensible budget?
For additional information, I will probably be buying a 70-200 f2.8 lens in the near future for a specific purpose.
As a side question, would I be right in thinking that if I have an image that was taken at 200mm whose hieght is 1500mm, if I crop that image to 1000mm high (keeping aspect) is this similar to what I would expect from 300mm lens. Just trying to get an idea if I need 300, 400 etc
