Is it worth £60 including postage for using it with an 1000D?

I already have a Canon 28-105 3.5-4.5 f/3.5-4.5

Should I just stick with this instead and change to the Sigma 70-300 DG APO for 100-200mm or is the Tamron too good of a deal to miss?

I would stick with what you have. You have the range covered with two lenses and you won't be getting anything from it really.

Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Macro

Would it be worth getting the Tamron to replace the 2 budget lenses my girlfriend is using on her 350D to save her the trouble of changing lenses?
