Hi all,

My topic for this week is to re-create a famous photographers work

So far the photographers which i find inspiring are

Ansel Adams

Lewis Hine

Steve McCurry

Martin Parr

Henri Cartier-Bresson

Robert Frank

But they have all captured that moment which is hard to re-create in my mind. The most easy shot i can think of is by Ansel Adams who took a picture of a rose on a bit of drift wood.

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=an...a=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBwQ_AUoAQ

or another idea is maybe to use lego men to copy aspects of the photos taken by the people above etc.

Hi. I guess you don't need to be literal. I've seen some great Lego recreations of Lewis Hine shots.

I could use the lego but its then trying to get my hands on the figures which i don't have :o

lol nice :D

ill give this a go maybe :P just need to find some stairs with a hole :D

... only the power of Photoshop!

Hi, wasn't being sarky or surreal with Jelly Babies. If you can re-create a pic with Lego, why not JB's?

Steve Mccurrys afghan girl with green eyes picture would`nt be that hard to recreate

The pic you're referring to is truly iconic, a word which is often overused. It ticks all my boxes.

I went the McCurry route & also tried Ansel Adams rose(but it didn't really work/inspire me)

Well though it was hard to capture the pure emotion in the eyes i took a pic of the mrs..lol - She didnt want her photo on here so going to respect her wish :P
& one other person in my college did the same. But over all he was happy with the outcome.

Our next topic is lighter than air (Something in flight)

:) blantly know people will do the obvious (birds, aeroplanes)

What i might try and do is get a mass seagull gather but in front of the camera my cables not long enough to be far away

Q: Do you think things falling is classed as flight? say dropping keys / Cup etc

Hi all,

Well my task for this week is to.

see the world from a different perspective than normal (unless your an ant) I have to try and show the ground in my shots.

Ofc standard buttercup/daisies shots & maybe pics of pet cat at ground level :P

Any other ideas would be cool

Two options, either get low and open up the aperture for miniature landscapes, or get high and look down vertically at the ground for a birds eye view.

By the way, I missed you earlier questions.. but I very, very strongly recommend watching the DVD series The Genius of Photography.. it would have given you ideas for every task you've mentioned so far.
