Need some legs for a Wimberley Head

Bought myself a Wimberley Gimbal head and now need some legs to hold it. The Wimberley head is for a Nikon 6/800mm lens. I have had a look at the Gitzo legs but they have so many that its mind boggling……………..any recommendations
 
Gitzo 5532 LS. 3 leg version. Not the lightest but i walk a fair distance with mine without any trouble. Solid as a rock, way over engineered. Or the 5542LS which is the 4 section version. Expensive but barring accidents will last you forever. Comes with a spares kit and IMHO well worth the money.

As Gary says above, the Gitzo GT5532LS is ideal. I use my Wimberley Gimbal MkII on it together with a Canon 500 II and its excellent. Yes, expensive but as is said above it really is worth the money. The only other thing I did when I bought mine was to get an extra head mounting plate as I also use an RRS Ballhead and I didn't want the hassle of taking the Wimberley off to mount the BH.

You won't regret it if you go for one.

The 5542LS in KL is about 680/700 quid so I am cool with that, I love the idea about getting the extra head and will do the same..................I will also look at B&H in the US as I have buddies that can hand carry stuff for me from the US to Nigeria for me

Yup, as I said, I just find it a lot less hassle swapping plates over which, with practice takes under a minute than having to unscrew one, screw another in etc, which takes a might longer. Enjoy.
