Neewer Speedlight NW985 stuck on hotshoe

Bought a couple of these recently and been using one quite happily on my D3. My nephew does a bit of nightclub photography but only using pop up flash so I lent him the one I'd been using to try. When he came to return it it wouldn't come off the hotshoe so after a little bit of gentle brute force I tried the good old Internet. Best advice was to strip it down taking the main body of the flash off. The screws were a little awkward but once removed and after unplugging the connector I could release the pin and remove.
No matter how I put it back together when turning the wheel to release the pin it would just lock it down rather than raising it. A little flash of light in the old noggin and buy turning the wheel upside down it worked.
So if anyone has issues it's a quick.....ish fix.

After comparing to the second flash which was only tested when bought it looks like the locking wheel was installed the wrong way round so my fix was just putting it back how it should be.

Thanks I had similar problems with a Canon 60D and the official Canon flash would not come off, a quick search on google came up explaining I had to ever so slightly bend the locking pin on the hot shoe!
