Has anyone tried a Neewer Z1. I've been using a SB-800 for years at events but it's starting to let me down with inconsistent light and recycle times so decided to replace. The Z1 looks pretty good and obviously far more up to date. The powerful battery is a bonus as well. I've taken a punt on one with 20% off atm for Black Friday
Just wondered how it fares as not many reviews out there atm.
 
Looks like a Godox V1 clone to me.

I had a V1 and it was ok. Nothing bad to report.

I don't think the marketing blurb about the round head softening the light should be believed though.

The head's too small to have any real effect.

Let us know how you get on with it.
