Netbook 4 printing

Would there be a problem running a printer from my netbook ? it's got 1gb ram running windows xp with 1.60 ghz intel atom processor, i've downloaded the relevant software and will process photo's on a desktop via USB stick for transfer to netbook.
It's easier because my desktop is at my parents home.
