New 50mm f/1.4

Here's the dog.

Taken with my new Canon 50mm f/1.4. First test. Taken late last night after a curry and a bottle of wine, so nothing special. But its a sharp lens and the narrow DOF is something else. No flash - just lit by the usual tungsten stuff in the living room.

I quite like that shot. 'tis very sharp and great bokeh.

I always think of my 50mm 1.4 as my 'see in the dark' lens.

Thanks both - its a rare case of the lens being better than the 'tog - it flatters my abilities.

So, I'm sure I'll have a good time with it. Looking forward to doing some daylight / natural light stuff with it.

It's an awesome lens too, gutted I had to sell mine a while ago, may reinvest sometime soon though as I really miss it. Nicely done mate, am looking forward to seeing some of your real world tests

I've got one of these lenses - great little lens - don't use it as much as i should though - seem to go for the zoom everytime unless the light is really bad then this lens is in it's own league. nice shot by the way
