Hi Thankyou for any help & advice

I am looking at buying a Apple Imac and need a little advice as I know nothing about them.
The specs is 3.06 ghz 4gig ram 21.5 Monitor
500MB hd Radeon extreme or NVIDIA geforce 9400M 256mb Graphics card
Aiport Extreme wifi (802.11) bluetooth 2.1 4 USB SD card slot
super drive

I will buying adobe CS5 will the above mac run CS5 OK

The PC I use with Radeon X800 Graphics card will not let me select the open GL option in Prefrences as its old so can not rotate the canvas as I draw on it in CS4

Also I have a Belkin N1 Wireless router connected to Virgin broadband, Which this main PC is connected to by network cable and the pc around the house are wi fi
will I need to change this Belkin N1 router to use an apple mac

I ran CS4 on mine which had a similar spec. Worked perfectly fine. I can not see CS5 taking much more power?

Hi Tim,

My Imac is a little older and slower than the one you are looking at, and it runs CS5 great.

You don't need to change your router. Mac's are compatible with nearly all wifi routers. New iMac's have a very good wifi a/b/g/n dual band card so will connect to anything.

I don't know the exact spec of your Belkin N1, I think it's based on a Pre-N chipset, but it will be definitely be fine for up to 20mb cable internet. If you are on 50mb broadband you might want to consider getting the latest and greatest N spec router or connecting by ethernet cable but it isn't really necessary.
