New backup solution

My current PC and backups are creaking at the seams. I have several external USB drives attached to my PC as I back everything up in triplicate. I'd like to use these where ever I can. I have a Dlink DIR 615 router - wireless n but only 100mb wired.

I've just ordered a MAC and will be using this from now on for photo editing but don't want to store things locally due to the amount of data - so want to utilise the wireless 'n' capabilities of the mac and my router for faster data throughput.
I've got around £300 to spend on a back up solution for NAS, new router if needed, hard drives etc.

Anyone offer any suggestions?

thanks

The drobo things are supposed to be quite good. No idea of the cost though. If you are this paranoid are any of your backups off site?

Yup - disk copies at my parents house :)

With a mac for ease the time capsule is an option, but the 2TB is £388 which is above your budget. One thing you forgot to mention is what capacity of storage you are ultimately looking for.

2gb capacity should be about ok.
I did look at Time Capsule but the cost put me off based on what else I could probably get for the same money!
I would also like the ability to access any drive by my PC besides the Mac which I'm not sure you can do with Time Capsule
