If so, early evening is quite a good time to go. :)

Iain.

Thats the one :D

I was thinking about 4...

Does it matter about the tide??

It depends on the sort of shot you want i suppose. I think it looks quite good when it's surrounded by water. Looking at http://britishbeaches.info/new-brighton-wallasey-wirral/weather-tides would suggest that high tide is around 1pm. I'm looking forward to getting some shots of it when it's high tide and stormy. You get some serious swirl round the lighthouse when it's like that!

Thanks for the tide guide. Stupid question, but high tide is where the water would be all around the bottom isn't it??

Yeah it can be upto the top of the black bit on bottom of the lighthouse

I think it is best to take pictures there when the tide is out, or very low. The Lighthouse is on quite a large sandbank when the tide is low, and you can get some nice reflections in some in the surrounding rock pools.

I always check the Tide Times website to see what the tides are like.

Useful sites them, bookmarked thanks. I'll have a go at the lighthouse myself next weekend while the car is in for MOT.
