New..Camera opinions!

I am just starting out in the photography biz..I know i need to find a good camera before I can do anything but I'm stuck. I don't no what cameras are best. I'm not looking to spend more than $1,500 yet. Can anyone give me any advice? It would be greatly appreciated!

Go to a camera shop and try out as many as you can to find out what feels comfortable to use, usual contenders are Canon, Nikon and Sony.

What do you intend to shoot? is a deciding factor to what lenses extra gear you may need too.

As per Gordon, you need to try different makes / models out yourself to see which feels the most comfortable, which feels the most intuative to use and whose menu system / layout etc you prefer - when you are starting off, you are buying into a system / manufactorer, that most people generally do not switch away from, as they begin to build up their collection of items and have heavily invested.

And don't forget, trying out new Cameras is great fun...
