new camera..

hi guys.. im looking to start saving for a new camera... and its between a nikon and canon... it would have to be an entry level dslr... i keep coming across the d5000... so what would be your adice to me an what sorta camera to go for??

My advice - Go into Jessops and see what feels better.

Thats why I have Canon, it felt better in my hands than the Nikon.

I have to agree...
I've 'fondled' the D5000 and would recommend it to anyone, but at the end of the day it has to feel right to you...

Nikons are about eighty-trillion times better though...

D5000 is a fab camera! I'd definitely recommend it - but you need to make sure it's right for you. you must go try one!

ps if you go to jessops - make sure you haggle!

D5000 is a great place to start, it has its flaws, but all forgivable (mostly anyway) for an entry point to DSLR.

Definately go any try holding different cameras, the grip is small and not all that ease to hold if you have larger hands.
