That was one of the three I shortlisted. I am currently awaiting delivery of the Panasonic GF1.

My reasons for not getting the Sony were mainly the lack of lenses available, and that while some of the features sounded good at first sight would likely turn out to be gimmicks (for me). And for the Panasonic was that 20mm 1.7 :)
 
My uncle got the Sony nex3 and I was intrigued having seen many of these style of cameras in the mags etc but never having handled one. He bought it witha couple of lenses and paid a small fortune for it. All I can say is I wont be spending any money on these type of cams. The lenses are no smaller than an SLR lens but you do get a very compact body to attach the heavy lens to which makes it ridiculously unwieldy and hard to hold because you dont brace it against your eye like an SLR you have to hold this cumbersome brute away from your body like P&S. I used it on a nice sunny day and guess what? I had no idea what I was shooting because the screen glares out. I really think these are a trendy fashion gimmick. Lets face it the image quality and zoom range of some of the small P&S cameras nowadays is getting quite awesome and will only get better I am struggling to see where these overpriced overhyped and underdesigned behemoths fit in the market.
