I am new to photography this year. I was recommended to get a SH camera and see if I gel etc.
Well I love it, so I have decided that I should buy a brand new camera and the natural choice is a D7000 body for under £700. I have a budget of £1000
Ive tried it in the shop and it felt very similar to my D90 which I have just sold, so all good.
However a good friend of mine has a 4 year old D700 with shutter count of 68k which I used yesterday for a couple of hours.
My main interest is landscapes and architecture using tripod and filters. Very keen to try HDR bracketing etc
The usual advice is learn with your camera and get better glass, but I like the idea of a brand new camera with warranty, but my head has been turned by prospect of a higher quality camera for similar money, and feeling ill end up full frame at some point.
I loved the super sharp results I got with the D700 even with my cropped wide angle. Did not really try the 70 - 200 : doh
My lenses 50mm prime
Sigma 10 - 20 4 - 5.6 WA
Tokina 12 - 24mm WA ( dont ask )
Sigma 70 - 200 2.8g - new version
Tamron 24 - 135
Cokin filters and Manfrotto tripod - SB400 flash
Am I bonkers to even think about the D700?
Should I just stick with the D700 and trade the spare WA for a 24 - 75 or Tammy 18 - 50
So many desicions. Comments please
