Hopefully the d7000 should come down in price a bit. Been wanting this for some time.

...or the shops sell remaining stock at near-to current prices as there is the usual struggle for stock of the new camera. Used prices will probably be affected much more...

Nikon is probably holding the D300s replacement (D400) back to go head to head with the Canon 7D MKII which is due 2nd half of 2013.

Essentially the D7000 and D600 have a similar size, button layout and construction. Though due to the lack of an FX sensor the D7000 is marginally smaller.

Is the new release really going to affect the price that the d7000 is currently at though...you can buy brand new for on average £630.

How much would the new model be on release? £1000ish?

Dont know whether to hold out a while and wish for a price drop of the d7000 or just buy now while there's still stock of brand new available..

The D7000 was a shade over £1000 when it was released. I'd guess this will be about £1100. Once they announce the new camera I suspect the current stocks of D7000s will be all that's available.

I'm hopefully getting a D7000 in the next couple of weeks - £530 or £1100? Simple choice for me, no need to wait! Don't see what new features i'd require for another £500.

I suppose it depends if the new D7000 is a straight off replacement or if its meant to be a D7000/D300s replacement... if its the latter then I think we can expect it to be dearer than £1100.
