New Gaming PC required ideas please

I am looking to build myself a new gaming PC to replace my aging AMD Phenomx4 955 Black edition, 8GB, Nvidea 650Ti.

I want it based around a GTX970 and looking at CPUs with the below CPU with 16GB of Corsair Vengance

Intel Core i5 4690K 3.5GHz Socket 1150 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

with a 480GB SSD

any other thoughts?

This is the GPU I fancy.

EBUYER is my preferred supplier as this PC will be funded by my Ltd Company as a high end Viseo and potential ESX / VDI Host PC

i dont think you need a particularly pokey cpu for gaming, or at least you never used to.

Yep that's my thought hence the GTX970 I can't realy push that any higher or it might look odd in the accounts

Alot of the newer games are getting CPU hungry so it depends on what your playing

The mobo I am looking at can upgrade to full i7 if I wanted just not skylake but that could be years away

Give me a few hours and I will tell you what my i5 4690 and gtx970 performs in Star Wars Battlefront.

I can play Star Wars Battlefront on Ultra with no issues at 2560 X 1440

I have that cpu with on chip water cooling and it's a beast, although it runs a Lightroom catalogue rather than 3D gaming!
