Got back from the TP Lake District meet today to find that the wife had signed for a nice big package which arrived on Saturday straight from the premises of Kerso ;) (Paid for on Friday, delivered by 8am on Saturday )

I am now the (very proud) owner of a Canon 24-70mm f2.8L lens

That's not all though - also in the box was a very large, very heavy and very white Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS II lens :notworthy:

My god it's sharp. Only taken a stereotypical cat shot with it (handheld, auto ISO, f2.8, 200mm) but I don't even need to add any sharpening in PP, it's good to go, right out of the camera!

tell me more about the 70-200Lmk2 what did it cost and post sample pics.:D

Kerso's sworn me to secrecy on the price he did me of the 70-200 II - you'll have to ask him yourself (it was a bloody good price though )

As for pics - I really don't have many yet, but this is one from earlier. 5D Mark II, 70-200 f2.8L IS II, 3200 ISO, f2.8, 1/60th, handheld

#1 - Unsharpened (straight out of camera)

Will take some better pics in better light and get them up soon :)

Ooooh that looks awesome!

We're not at all jealous, you understand

The white lens bug has well and truly bitten me now, I got to play with a 70-200 F2.8 non-IS at the weekend :naughty: My budget won't stretch to buy one, but the F4 is attainable :D

I rented one of those from Stewart at LFH not that long ago and it was really nice... but this just blows it away. :D
It's just when you take the lens cap off and look at that front element - you know the lens means business

And you can hear angelic voices singing in the background

I'd love a go with a very-latest-and-very-best lens, just to see how much image quality has moved on!

How much was the Canon 24-70mm f2.8L?

Those cats look a bit soft, our cat is well 'arder....................

Jealousy is a nasty trait.

Worth looking at the exif! f2.8 and 3200 ISO !! :D
